My journey into the Van Ostrand family began with an unexpected call in November 1990. Born to two young college students, I became the focal point of a life-altering decision when, just days after my birth, my biological parents reached out to a law firm in Muncie, Indiana, expressing their wish to immediately place me for adoption.
