The site of a Boca Raton law firm was the scene of a murder on Saturday afternoon, with the managing partner’s son Brandon Labiner—against whom the Florida Supreme Court entered an emergency suspension in April for misappropriating $450,000 from a trust and accused of framing his father—now appearing in court on a first-degree murder charge.

Randolph Braccialarghe, a professor at Nova Southeastern University Law Center who has served the Florida Bar in various ethical and professor responsibility matters for over three decades, said that if Paul S. Labiner of the Law Offices of Paul S. Labiner died Saturday, there might not be an attorney immediately designated to take over for his clients.
