National law firms specializing in environmental contamination descended on an Ohio town in which a freight train derailed earlier this month, and some have already filed class actions against the train operator, Norfolk Southern Corp.

Lawyers from Motley Rice and Simmons Hanly Conroy traveled this week to East Palestine, a town with a population of less than 5,000, where local residents, many of whom were forced to evacuate their homes, now have concerns about their health and economic losses stemming from the Feb. 3 derailment.
