A federal appeal court ruled against Donald Trump in a dispute involving the former president’s efforts to keep documents taken from his Florida home out of the hands of investigators.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit panel in Atlanta on Thursday vacated a Sept. 5 order from U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon that put in place a special master to review documents taken from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence. The Justice Department seized the records as part of an investigation into the possible mishandling of classified information by Trump when he left the White House.
