Nearly all South Florida state and federal courts are closed on Wednesday, with many expecting to shut their doors on Thursday after the National Hurricane Center’s forecast that Tropical Storm Nicole will likely become a Category 1 hurricane as it touches down on southeast Florida.

The courts in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties are closed on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Palm Beach courts will also close on Thursday. The same is true for Florida’s Third and Fourth District Courts of Appeal, with the former closed on Wednesday and the latter set to close Wednesday and Thursday.
