A Miami-Dade County jury rejected the claim of a man who alleged that excessive force was used against him during an arrest.

On June 30, 2014, plaintiff Frederick Thomas, 44, was arrested in the city of Miami Gardens following a foot pursuit by a city police officer. The officer twice attempted to use his stun gun to subdue Thomas. Thomas suffered an eye injury during the arrest.
