Florida employers championing diversity, equity and inclusion in employee training have a tricky path to tread, thanks to a new July 1 law that strictly regulates how they advance those concepts in the workplace.

Dubbed the “Stop Woke Act,” the legislation makes illegal many of the cornerstones of Critical Race Theory, an academic concept that analyzes how racism is embedded in public policy and legal systems. But critics of CRT argue that it promotes a worldview that dubs everyone of the white race as racist.
