The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission sued Chalala Academy LLC, Lendvesting Academy Corp. and Alexandra Robert Tuesday in Florida Southern District Court over alleged violations of federal securities laws. The lawsuit accuses the defendants of fraudulently raising nearly a million dollars from unregistered offerings for ‘investment programs’ falsely promising guaranteed returns of up to 48 percent. Attorneys have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 9:22-cv-81092, Securities and Exchange Commission v. Robert et al.
