Florida state courts are on a “wait-and-see” approach regarding monkeypox following the World Health Organization labeling the disease as a “global health emergency”—the highest level of alert—over the weekend.

Broward Circuit Chief Judge Jack Tuter said that Occupational Safety & Health Administration state court administrators have not issued guidance and likely will not issue any guidance until there is a case involving a stakeholder or an outbreak in the court system. Even so, the disease would not “substantially” affect litigation.
