What do you think has been the most effective step you’ve taken to increase diversity and inclusion at your firm, and why?

Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) are core values of Hunton Andrews Kurth, and we enthusiastically embrace and support D&I initiatives and programs designed to recruit, retain and promote diverse lawyers. Making D&I a part of who we are as a firm is the most effective step we can take. Our goal is to be intentional about diversity and inclusion in our decision-making processes, including in work assignments. For example, in their performance evaluations, partners are asked to describe activities they have engaged in during the past fiscal year to promote D&I at the firm, in their practice and in the legal profession, such as partnering with a client or promoting D&I within the firm (and successes achieved). At Hunton Andrews Kurth, our goal is to be intentional about our diversity and inclusion initiatives and to keep diversity and inclusion top of mind in all that we do.
