A jury awarded more than $3 million to a woman who claimed that she has undergone three spinal surgeries and administration of 48 painkilling injections as a result of an auto accident in Orlando in 2016.

On Nov. 20, 2016, plaintiff Mary Booth, 44, a bakery’s manager, was a passenger of a sport utility vehicle that was traveling on International Drive, near its intersection at Central Florida Parkway, in Orlando. The SUV’s right side was struck by a car whose driver was executing a left turn onto the opposite side of International Drive, from a parking lot. Booth claimed that she suffered injuries of her back and neck. The other motorist was not insured.
