Fowler White Burnett filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit Thursday in Florida Southern District Court against Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing. The suit was filed on behalf of Alicia Robles De La Lama and Jose De La Lama, who claim the defendant is withholding their settlement payment in connection with an underlying lawsuit. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 1:22-cv-21056, De La Lama et al v. NewRez, LLC.
