Shock waves from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine have crashed on the shores of South Florida, home to Russian-speaking communities of more than 400,000. Across the broad spectrum of different nations of origin – including Baltic states like Lithuania and Latvia, as well as large countries such as Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, condemnation of the invasion has been universal.

“People are suffering, confused, scared, and angry, feeling helplessness,” said Anna Tumpovskiy, an international business lawyer who is president of the Russian American Bar Association (“RABA”).  “Here, Ukrainians understand that almost all Russians are against the war. But many Russians have a sense of guilt for something they don’t support.”
