Novartis, a Swiss-based pharmaceutical company, was slapped with a product liability lawsuit Saturday in Florida Middle District Court over its macular degeneration drug, Beovu. The suit, filed by Levin Papantonio on behalf of Rina Watler, alleges that Novartis knowingly misled consumers about the efficacy of Beovu and the adverse vision-related reactions. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 2:22-cv-00030, Watler v. Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation.
