A referee entered a report in which she recommended a three-month suspension of a Miami attorney known for his unconventional tactics in his advocacy for homeowners against large institutional banks.
Judge Betsy Alvarez-Zane, who sits in the Miami-Dade County Court, penned the report of the referee. And Alvarez-Zane said that in reaching her recommendation about Bruce Jacobs, the managing partner at Jacobs Legal, she considered testimony in which the Miami lawyer and those close to him said his bad behavior was not characteristic of the respondent.
