A jury found that a Broward County apartment complex’s manager must pay $1.5 million to a tenant who claimed that the complex’s security did not properly respond when she suffered a stroke.

During the evening of Sept. 23, 2017, plaintiff Florence Louise Ferdinand, 71, a salesperson, unknowingly suffered a stroke. Apparently confused, Ferdinand, who resided in an apartment complex that was located in the city of Wilton Manors. attempted to enter a neighbor’s apartment.
