U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland called on the “entire legal community,” including the broad range of law firms involved in the Law Firm Anti-Racism Alliance and the Association of Pro Bono Counsel, to lead a rapid response to the pending housing crisis created by the expiration of the federal eviction moratorium Oct. 3.

In a letter addressed to “members of the legal community,” the Office of the Attorney General asked that they assist him in “addressing the looming housing and evictions crisis.” APBCo and the LFAA are among the organizations within the legal community that will participate.
