A U.S. Postal Service letter carrier recovered $3 million for injuries she suffered when her postal truck was struck and toppled in Lake City.

On June 28, 2019, plaintiff Sharon Frost, 56, a U.S. Postal Service letter carrier, was driving on State Road 47, near its intersection at Southwest Crystal Glen, in Lake City. Frost was operating a mail truck. While she was seated in her truck, loading roadside mailboxes, the truck’s rear end was struck by a trailing pickup truck that was being driven by Don Townsend. Frost’s truck was toppled, and Frost suffered injuries of her back, her head, her neck and her rib cage.
