The announcement represents a $15,000 raise for Holland & Knight associates, while eighth-years will make $365,000.
Incoming Thompson & Knight associates will also receive the raises.
This is the first of the Florida-founded Am Law 100 firms to match the new market rates.

Effective Aug. 1, Holland & Knight first-year associates will now make $205,000, the Florida-based Am Law 100 firm announced Monday. That date coincides with the firm’s planned merger with Thompson & Knight, a Texas-based Am Law 200 firm.

A Holland & Knight spokesperson confirmed that partner-track U.S. associates at both firms will be compensated on the updated pay scale, which goes up to $365,000 for eighth-year associates.
