When the foreclosure moratorium is lifted at the end of the month, it will likely prompt a big surge in foreclosure cases. There have been 635 foreclosure filings in Miami-Dade County since January, according to court administrators.
It means there’s an anticipated backlog of cases that could overwhelm courts across South Florida, the way commercial litigation attorney Amy Rubin of Fox Rothschild in West Palm Beach sees it.
