As the COVID-19 pandemic did its worst, the hospitality industry was hit head-on. And for the Orange Bowl Committee, geared toward generating tourism for South Florida, Albert E. Dotson Jr. was one of the main reasons it was able to pull the community together, work closely with local government and meet its fundraising goals.

That culminated with the 87th Capital One Orange Bowl, a championship football match pitting the University of Alabama against the University of Oklahoma.
