A Florida attorney could lose his license to practice law over allegations he violated trust account rules, after a court-appointed referee recommended disbarment.

Phillip Timothy Howard, a partner at Howard & Associates in Tallahassee, is accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from former client Jason Hall, according to the Florida Bar’s filings, which said the attorney was on probation at the time for trust accounting issues.
