Florida has joined a wave of red states challenging President Joe Biden’s executive orders meant to curb deportations of certain immigrants who are illegally in the country.

In a lawsuit filed Monday evening by Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the state accused the Biden administration of endangering residents and flouting federal law when it issued two memorandums that broadly paused the deportations of some migrants. The memorandums were issued by the Biden administration in order to unwind certain Trump-era policies.
