A Florida trial court has entered final judgment, holding the owners of a corporation based in the sunshine state accountable after they defaulted on a settlement agreement, dissolved the business and then fled the country.

The takeaway: Don’t stop pursuing legal action and collecting on the judgment several years later, said Ira Gonzalez, a Miami partner at Hinshaw & Culbertson.
