After the floods in Houston, the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando and the California wildfires, Miami lawyer Ira Leesfield’s family foundation had funds at the ready to help with relief efforts. And the COVID-19 pandemic was no different, triggering charitable donations to Baptist Health South Florida.
But this time, the founder of Leesfield Scolaro found himself on the receiving end of that relief, when he was admitted to the hospital July 7 after contracting COVID-19.
