In a series of close races for the bench, four challengers prevailed against their judicial opponents Tuesday in the South Florida primary elections. Meanwhile, two more judges will face contentious runoffs in November after close contests against their opponents, one of which may involve a recount.

More than a million South Floridians cast their ballots in the election, displaying strong voter turnout, despite the coronavirus pandemic. While vote-by-mail is only partially reported in Broward and Palm Beach counties, here is where the races stand as of Wednesday afternoon.
