Ty Drury got the news April 27, 2018—the day before he walked across a stage and collected his Juris Doctor degree from Baylor University School of Law.
The stomach pain that had plagued him for months was diagnosed as stage four colon cancer. In the photos of that spring day, however, he looks joyful as he poses with his professors, clutching his hard-earned diploma.
