The United States Department of Justice has announced that Switzerland-headquartered HSBC Private Bank has entered into a $192 million deferred prosecution agreement with the government over allegations that it conspired to evade taxes.

The agreement was made public Tuesday by U.S. Attorney Ariana Fajardo Orshan’s office of the Southern District of Florida in Miami.
