Day Pitney Finalizes Move To 1 Stamford Plaza in 2019 Connecticut’s largest law firm has finalized plans to move into a new 19,450 square-foot facility at 1 Stamford Plaza. The commercial real estate firm Savills Studley announced completion of a lease that will allow Day Pitney to move from its current offices at 201 Broad St. to the seventh floor of a 16-story, 219,000-square-foot Class A office tower. The move will take place in the first quarter of 2019. The lease features includes a mix of private offices and meeting spaces housing approximately 70 employees, including 32 attorneys. Savills Studley’s L. Craig Lemle, Michael Goldman and Jason Perla arranged the long-term transaction for the law firm, while Margaret Carlson represented the landlord, RFR, in-house. Established in 1902, Day Pitney is celebrating its 100th anniversary in Connecticut this year. The firm has five offices throughout the state and has a strong presence along the East Coast, with additional offices in Boston, Florida, New Jersey, New York and Washington, D.C. With the new lease, Day Pitney will also benefit from in-building amenities such as an on-site fitness center, cafeteria, a 1,200-space attached parking garage, 24/7 security, keycard access and state-of-the-art tenant-controlled HVAC.

CCA Attorney Bonnie Roswig Wins U.S. Attorney’s Award In recognition of her “superior efforts in the investigation and prosecution of In Re: North Canaan Elementary School,” Center for Children’s Advocacy senior staff attorney Bonnie Roswig received the U.S. Attorney’s Award at a ceremony on June 20, 2018. This award recognizes attorney Roswig’s legal efforts resulting in positive resolution in a case that enforced the national standard for playgrounds, ensuring accessibility for children with disabilities that might otherwise exclude them from participation. The U.S. Attorney’s Office is charged with enforcing federal criminal laws in Connecticut and representing the federal government in civil litigation. The office is composed of approximately 63 assistant U.S. attorneys and approximately 52 staff members at offices in New Haven, Hartford and Bridgeport. The Center for Children’s Advocacy is a nonprofit law firm that fights for the legal rights of Connecticut’s most vulnerable children.
