The Connecticut Bar Association has announced its newest president and slate of officers for the 2018-19 bar year, which begins July 1.

Jonathan M. Shapiro, partner with Shapiro Law Offices in Middletown, will serve as the 95th president of the bar, succeeding Karen DeMeola, the assistant dean for enrollment and students for the University of Connecticut School of Law and winner of the Connecticut Law Tribune’s 2018 Attorney of the Year award.
