Two Lifetime Achievement Award winners have been chosen by the Connecticut Law Tribune for this year’s Professional Excellence Awards program: Peter Zarella and Morris Banks.
Former Supreme Court Justice Peter Zarella is now of counsel at McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter in Hartford. Serving as a Superior Court judge from 1996 to 2000 and later on the Appellate Court, he was nominated by Gov. John G. Rowland as an associate justice of the Supreme Court on Jan. 4, 2001 ,and was sworn in shortly after. While serving on the Supreme Court, Justice Zarella authored more than 300 majority opinions.
