After years of planning and building, Connecticut’s judicial branch has announced the new Litchfield District Superior Courthouse will open Aug. 25 in Torrington.
Previously housed in Litchfield, the new 183,000-square-foot building will be known as the Torrington Superior Courthouse, and it will replace Litchfield Superior Court, Bantam Superior Court (GA18), a family services office moving from Litchfield and Torrington Juvenile Court. The new courthouse is located at 50 Field St., Torrington.
