Customers often want the convenience of using a credit card to make purchases. That’s prompted many a Connecticut business to lease equipment so they can handle these transactions.
Jack Emanuel, who owns J&J Computerworks in Brookfield, is among them. According to Emanuel, a salesman offered to lease him equipment for just $50 a month. But shortly after the equipment came, money started disappearing from his bank account to the tune of $100 and $500, Emanuel said.
