Rose Clement v. 21st Century Insurance Company: A teenager with a neck injury caused by a driver who left the scene of a crash was recently awarded more than $86,000 by a jury in Waterbury.

Waterbury resident Rose Clement, then 17, was on her way from school to a part-time job at about 2:40 p.m. on Oct. 9, 2008. She was sitting in traffic near the intersection of Waterville Street in Waterbury, according to her lawyer, James R. Miron, of the Waterbury office of Trantolo & Trantolo. Suddenly, a vehicle rammed into the rear-end of Clement’s car, causing it to hit the vehicle in front of her and setting off a chain reaction. In all, five vehicles were damaged.
