The stay of a Connecticut federal civil lawsuit against World Wrestling Entertainment, its founder Vince McMahon and former executive John Laurinaitis, which accused the defendants of human trafficking and sexual assault, was lifted Wednesday after being on hold for six months.
Prosecutors for the U.S. Southern District of New York had requested the stay pending a criminal investigation, the nature of which was undisclosed.
