Static trial management may have just decided a presidential election. Four years after momentous events, our justice system proved incapable of deciding what were among the most important cases ever litigated in the United States.

Donald Trump, president of the United States, was accused of attempting to steal an American election by fraud, threats of violence, and actual violence. The federal case against Trump should have been brought in January 2021, the legal questions resolved by the courts, including the Supreme Court within the first year and the case should have been tried and all appeals concluded within another year —well before the election. It was that important a case.
