A class action was brought against Yale University due to its alleged discriminatory policies that harm students struggling with mental health disabilities.

The action was filed on behalf of Yale students by Disability Rights Connecticut attorney Kasey Considine. The complaint claims that Yale has violated the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. §12182, §504 of the Rehabilitation Act, 29 U.S.C. §794(a), the Fair Housing Act, 42 U.S.C. §3601 and §1557 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
