A federal judge rejected the defendants’ claims that an attorney “held himself out” as a lawyer authorized to perform legal services in New York and Connecticut when he was really unlicensed in both states.

A jury recently concluded that Kaufman LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company managed by Alan H. Kaufman, had not proved claims of breach of contract, quantum meruit, unjust enrichment, or promissory estoppel against former clients, including the late Herbert Feinberg, Catahama, Fresh Harvest River, and Gotham Enterprises and Affiliate, for the termination of his employment agreement.
