The Connecticut Supreme Court determined the plaintiffs in a products liability case failed to establish their claim against the defendant “arises from or relates to” the defendant’s contacts to the state, in a decision upholding dismissal for lack of personal jurisdiction against a California-based aircraft parts supplier.

In 2015, two young adults were killed in a plane crash in Morrisville, New York, one passenger and one pilot, the opinion said. The plaintiffs are Connecticut residents and co-administrators of the estate of Ryan Michael Adams, the passenger who died, the opinion stated.
