Despite taking the top spot nearly every year for the past 30 years, Yale Law School Dean Heather K. Gerken announced Wednesday that the law school will no longer be participating in U.S. News & World Report educational rankings, calling them “profoundly flawed.”

U.S. News, a for-profit magazine, ranks the educational quality of law schools across the country, with Yale Law School often earning the highest ranking, including in the 2023 Best Graduate Schools rankings. Despite the bragging rights, Yale Law School has decided to no longer submit data to the news organization in order to be ranked.
