Alex Jones now owes plaintiffs in Connecticut and Texas more than $1 billion in total for defaming them by broadcasting lies and conspiracy theories about the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, but Jones’ plan to appeal the verdict and his bankruptcy case will delay or possibly prevent the plaintiffs from receiving the full amount.
On the steps of the Waterbury Superior Court courthouse, Jones’ attorney, Norm Pattis, shortly after the verdict was read, said he looks forward to appealing the case.
