The Connecticut Supreme Court has reversed an appellate court judgment that a defendant’s 45-day license suspension was extended until she installed an ignition-locking device on her vehicle.

Anastasia Schimanski was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence in September 2017. Because she refused to take a chemical alcohol test, the Department of Motor Vehicles suspended her license for a 45-day period pursuant to General Statutes §14-227b(i)(1), starting Oct. 18, 2017, and ending Dec. 2, 2017, according to the high court’s opinion filed Tuesday.
