The American Bar Association has recently released a report on the gender gap among appellate lawyers, documenting what is described as “a consistent and persistent pattern of gender disparity in the legal profession.”

The Commission on Women in the Profession directed the preparation of the report, “How Unappealing: An Empirical Analysis of the Gender Gap among Appellate Attorneys,” authored by Ami J. St. Eve, judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and Jamie B. Luguri, an associate at Munger, Tolles & Olson.
