Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday filed a $100 million lawsuit against his niece Mary Trump, The New York Times and three of its reporters, arguing that the defendants were unjustly enriched after Mary Trump allegedly violated confidentiality provisions of the settlement agreement associated with her grandfather’s will.

The lawsuit was filed in Dutchess County Supreme Court, where state Supreme Court Justice Hal Greenwald in July 2020 refused to block publication of Mary Trump’s book after the former president’s brother Robert Trump sued on similar grounds, citing the confidentiality agreement reached as part of Fred Trump Sr.’s estate settlement.
