Attorney Farva Jafri has filed a civil rights lawsuit against New Canaan township officials, the Patch.com online news network and other media defendants in Connecticut District Court. The suit alleges Jafri was issued a ticket for parking in a no-parking zone because she is nonwhite.
Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 3:21-cv-00963, Jafri v. New Canaan et al.
