It will be difficult to make a liability case against the Litchfield law firm where a partner is the subject of a homicide investigation, following a June 7 shooting in the firm’s parking lot, four experts said.
Connecticut premises liability and insurance law attorneys said they wouldn’t be surprised if the family of 39-year-old Matthew Bromley filed a lawsuit, but said obtaining a legal victory against the firm would be an uphill battle, if at all possible.
