Gov. Ned Lamont has nominated his General Counsel Robert W. Clark of Durham to fill a vacancy on the Connecticut Appellate Court.

Clark has served as Lamont’s general counsel since his term began in January 2019. At the time, Clark gave up his position as a Superior Court judge to serve in his current role. He will fill the vacancy that was created by Appellate Court Judge Douglas S. Lavine, who reached the mandatory retirement age of 70 in December.
