Microsoft, Target, Ford Motor, Google and a number of other major U.S. corporations may have announced that they’re not requiring workers to return to the office until July 2021. But large law firms are avoiding making the same definitive declarations.

Representatives for several large firms polled on the subject said remote work would be welcomed at least through the end of 2020. But, of roughly 20 firms contacted Thursday, none indicated they were following the lead of these businesses and committing to allow employees to work from home until next summer.
