A lawyer suing Waterbury and its attorney for alleged discrimination, harassment and retaliation says her professional life has been ruined and her health has suffered since she lost her job with the city.

Former workers’ compensation attorney Donna Convicer was fired in April 2018 after six months with the offices of the Waterbury corporation counsel. She alleges wrongful termination, and claims in her suit that Waterbury Corporation Counsel Linda Wihbey asked her to lie in a case. Convicer says she was told to say that a complainant suffered a heart attack in October 2017 despite her claims that there was no medical documentation of a heart attack.
