As the e-cigarette “vaping” industry booms into a $5 billion business across the country, reports over health concerns have exploded—literally in some cases—meaning more work for attorneys.

Many health and safety concerns have surrounded San Francisco-based Juul Labs, an e-cigarette maker that Connecticut Attorney General William Tong recently announced is being investigated for its alleged smoking cessation claims. That announcement comes on the heels of a lawsuit filed by 22-year-old Connecticut resident Maxwell Berger, who claimed his use of Juul products led to addiction and a massive stroke in 2017.
